Why PUNANI?

Punani is a term derived from "punany," which was first used in India. In Kama Sutra the word is used refer to the female genitalia, and commonly used in north India. Indian workers in the Caribbean in the early 20th century passed their vernacular on to the locals.

Jamaican Patois term for the vagina or vulva.

Hawaiian slang for vagina or vulva, derived from the Hawaiian word "puanani" meaning "beautiful flower.

PUNANI is for womxn of color, vulva owners, partners of those with vulvas, for fat womxn, for queer womxn, for trans womxn, and womxn with disabilities.

My ultimate goal for PUNANI is to inspire sexual liberation for all.
